Catching Up

It's been over two months since our last post, and what a two months it's been! For the sake of time, here are the highlights:
  • We put our house on the market in September... and sold it eight days later after receiving an amazing offer!  Thankfully we had already started looking for a new home (in case we sold ours quickly) and had a couple that we loved. After much deliberation and prayer, we decided on a new construction in north Wheaton just six blocks from our current home. The builder was anxious to get the house sold and was very willing to work with us on the price - amazing! I'll post another update soon with details on the selling & buying process and pics of the new house.
  • Tim and I took a trip out to California for a belated five year anniversary/celebration of Tim's 30th birthday. We spent a day in San Fran, two days in Sonoma and another day in Napa. We had such a good time remembering the many reasons why we like each other so much! Thanks to Tim's parents for so lovingly watching Caleb & Jonathan while we were away!
  • Jonathan is walking like a boss. He took his first steps at nine months and was a pro by ten. He's still not quite coordinated enough though as you can see by the frequent bruises around his face.
  • Caleb is getting funnier and funnier. We might have a class clown on our hands. He seriously knows how to get a laugh. Whether a funny face, weird dance move or hilarious song, he has us rolling.
  • More to come on the boys soon (after JD turns ONE next week... craziness!!).

Here are a bunch of photos from this beautiful fall:

Pics from Trick or Treating last night (and a couple from last weekend when we joined the masses in downtown Wheaton):

Perfect time and place for a little "downward dog"

Warming up post T&T with a little dinner at Mariano's with the cutest penguin around

Missing California already:

The views were just terrible

We made our annual trip up the the Apple Hollar in Wisconsin mid- October. Little did we know that there would be ZERO apples on the trees (I lied... there were maybe four, just enough to get the obligatory photo of Caleb picking an apple). Nevertheless, we had a great time and so did the boys:

Caleb was so excited to show Jaybird the tractor #brothers

Could barely contain himself

Lighten up Jay

That's better
Donut eating is serious business

Can you tell yet that Caleb had a blast?

And lastly, here are a few favs from the past couple months:

We took a trip to the Wheaton football field. JD was a natural

Caleb was more enamored with the trains going by
